The Ldap editor is an essential browser/editor, which permits all its users to view the contents stored and kept in the LDAP directory, that too in a hierarchical way. Modifications related to the Ldap contents are also allowed, on the condition that the user has signed in as a Directory Manager. The LDAP contents and items are displayed in the structure of a tree, and the table form describes all the contents related to the attributes of the entries. On the status bar are displayed the current status of the browser. All the status messages are able to be viewed in the color black, while yellow describes the warning messages, and error messages take the color red .

The DN tree is extended and lengthened, or can be distorted and malformed by double click on a node. When one performs a change in the selection on the DN tree, then one will experience the retrieval and display of the attributes chosen for the DN tree to be in the attribute table.

One can click on the column names to sort and resolve the attribute values and names, which are viewed in the attribute table. They are sorted in an ascending manner. On the contrary, one should hold the shift key down, at the same time click on the column header to have a sorting of the descending type.
The functions which work with numerous selections are the table which works on viewing, deleting and editing of the attribute, and the tree which works on deleting entries.
